Camping village Laghi di Lamar

Whether you are experienced cyclists or just beginners, don’t miss the chance to go mountain biking in the campsite area or in the surroundings: you will feel at one with nature and you will understand why Trentino is famous among cyclists from all over the world. Surrounded by mountains, pine forests, lakes, fields, woods, streams and pure nature, our campsite is the ideal place for those who are looking for a cycling holiday. You don’t have a bike? No problem: you can rent a mountain bike at our campsite. There are trails for everyone: from easy trails for families with children to challenging cross-country or mountain bike trails. There is also a downhill park 45 minutes away by car for those who are looking for an adrenaline rush! If road cycling is your strong suit, you can follow from the campsite some of the road bike races that pass nearby, such as the “Giro del Trentino”, the Alpine stages of the “Giro d’Italia” or the challenging “Leggendaria Charly Gaul”.

Bike trails near the campsite

There are many easy mountain bike trails that are directly accessible from our campsite: forest paths alternating with winding dirt roads that pass through the picturesque villages of the area. Due to its low level of difficulty, the trail that connects the campsite with the Lamar Lakes is the perfect choice for families with children. It is also possible to venture even further and explore the woods and old abandoned roads that meander high above the lakes, or cross the expanses of Prada, under the Paganella massif, offering breathtaking views of the area situated below. Several sections of the Terlago Bike route are of easy or medium difficulty and therefore suitable for beginners.
Even further away from the campsite you can cycle through the vine yards and admire the imposing Alpine peaks and enchanting views. Near Lake Terlago begins the cycle path Valle dei Laghi n. 9 that winds for about 40 km until you reach Torbole on Lake Garda. The ride takes place mostly on a bicycle path, and only in some sections it is necessary to use lightly trafficked roads.
Riding in the direction of Torbole, you cycle almost just flat and downhill.
For more information on this cycle path please consult this link and go to VisitTrentino for all the other routes.

Cross-country (XC) trails

Those who are looking for challenging cross-country (XC) trails, will not be disappointed by the many opportunities that the forests of Trentino offer. Not too far away from the campsite, the Terlago Bike – a 26 km circuit with a difference in altitude of 1200 m – passes right next to the entrance of the campsite and leads through beautiful coniferous forests, grasslands and winding mountain tracks. With rocks, forest trails and paths also the type of terrain is quite different. There are several steep sections which are very demanding even for the most experienced mountain bikers and where it is highly recommended to wear a helmet. More information about the trail: map and altitudes.
Moving away from the campsite and reaching by car the village of Andalo, on the other side of the Paganella massif, you will find other trails of varying length and difficulty at an altitude of 2000 metres, with a splendid view of the Brenta Dolomites. The peak of Paganella can be reached by cable car from Andalo. Don’t forget to ask for a pocket map at the entrance to the cable car.

Further XC trails in the area can be found on the website VisitTrentino.

Paganella Bike Park

On the other side of the Paganella – opposite to the campsite – there is the Paganella Bike Park, a downhill park offering numerous downhill trails on different types of natural soil. Here you will find different types of trails: technical (light blue), faster and more challenging ones (red) and difficult trails for experienced bikers (black white and double diamond).
Each trail includes bridges, walls and ramps, which keep the paths interesting and constantly challenging. You can either bring your own bike or rent the equipment for the day on the spot (a full-face helmet is required).
